BLIZZAK LM001

Bridgestone introduces the new Blizzak LM001 winter tires, emphasizing that the combined technologies guarantee a set of maximum benefits and safety:

- Upward-widening side grooves designed to better compress snow, increasing grip and shortening braking distance on snowy or icy road surfaces.

- Another feature to improve tire characteristics on wet roads - rounded block edges that ensure faster water flow through tire grooves, reducing aquaplaning risk.

- Directional tread pattern with outward-widening grooves more effectively removes water from under the tire.

- LM001 tires feature advanced 3D groove technology, where the entire tire surface is covered with fine grooves ensuring maximum grip on dry, wet, snowy or icy road surfaces and more even tire wear.

Another advantage of LM001 winter tires compared to previous generation Blizzak series tires is reduced weight. Blizzak LM001 weight was reduced thanks to new materials used in tire manufacturing. This also helps reduce not only overall CO2 emissions but also tire noise and vehicle fuel consumption.

ADAC 2014 winter tire test highly recommended tires. Particularly well-rated for wet asphalt performance, also noted as exceptionally quiet.

EU Energy Label

The EU Tyre Label provides standardized information about fuel efficiency, wet grip, and external rolling noise of tyres.

  • Fuel efficiency – rated A (best) to E (worst). Better rated tyres reduce fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions.
  • Wet grip – rated A (best) to E (worst). Better wet grip means shorter braking distance on wet roads.
  • Noise level – external rolling noise in decibels (dB). Class A is quietest, C is loudest.

Based on EU Regulation 2020/740, effective from May 2021. View full details on EPREL →
