Cooper Tires, one of the world's ten largest tyre manufacturers, presents the Starfire W200 (T) winter tyre. The model made a successful debut in tests carried out in Alpine winter conditions, earning particular praise for its grip on loose and wet snow and on wet asphalt. The excellent results came from the use of state-of-the-art computer technologies in designing the directional tread pattern, together with an increased density of the sipe network.
The grooves of the Starfire W200 (T) are also optimised using the latest TAG (Tapered Alternating Groove) technology: blocks and V-shaped grooves arranged at a carefully chosen angle and direction noticeably improve braking and grip. The latest rubber compound was developed specifically for Nordic conditions — a higher silica content improves grip and braking on snow, slush and wet roads, while maximum elasticity is preserved at low temperatures, ensuring even wear and a long tyre life.
