The Starmaxx W850 is a winter tyre for passenger cars designed to deliver maximum manoeuvrability and stability in all winter conditions.
The Starmaxx W850 features a distinctive asymmetric tread pattern. The inner side uses a directional V-shaped pattern that creates a comfortable, quiet ride, while two rigid block ribs on the outer side provide manoeuvrability, stability and quick response at high speed.
Wide block ribs and deep grooves ensure excellent handling and a short braking distance on snow and ice. For maximum effectiveness, a Z-shaped sipe network covers the entire tread surface for even better grip and stability.
The rubber compound of these winter tyres has been refined with FST (Fine Silica Technology), which guarantees the elasticity the rubber needs even at very low temperatures, ensuring excellent grip on snowy or icy roads. The tyre is reinforced with a nylon layer and wide steel belts for stability and comfort at high speed and in corners. This construction also guarantees even wear and a long service life.
